DAVIDO DESERVES OUR 'BEST NEPHEW OF THE YEAR' AWARD



Davido’s relentless support for his uncle Senator Ademola Adeleke during his gubernatorial campaign in Osun state is absolutely admirable. He had for months used his social media platforms to campaign for the dancing senator, and then canceled paying shows in the US, to join him in Osun state for his campaign rally



 After just day 1, the OBO had his true fans frightened for his safety as he reported on his social media that he had been shot at, signs that reminded us all what a dangerous and dirty game Nigerian politics can be. The alleged occurrence didn’t make him cower though, as he played the relentless game and continued to show up at the campaign rally events, pulling massive crowds that even the president would be envious of.



 And when the rally wrapped up, he went back to his social media, rallying against perceived foul play during the elections, and putting pressure on the Independent National Electoral Commission and the President to abstain from interfering with the results of the election.







His efforts has won him accolades, with well celebrated Nigerians praising him on social media





Regardless of the result, Davido has shown full commitment, devotion, faithfulness and loyalty to a cause that is not directly his. We applaud him for this. He is a nephew that his uncle is lucky to have.

BURNA BOY HAS BEEN ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT IN 2018

Burna Boy ’s 2018 has been super outstanding and so I just have to celebrate him.  After ending 2017 on a somewhat sore note, he kicked off 2018 proper with the video for the absolutely awesome Heaven’s Gate featuring Lily Allen. He threw a private listening party in Lagos for his third studio album, OUTSIDE, released through Atlantic records, and days later, hosted an album release party at the curtain hill, London, with an array of stars in attendance including Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Mr Eazi, JHus and Mabel. The album, by the way, debuted on Billboard’s reggae albums chart at the number 3 spot.
