2BABA'S BUCKWYLD ‘n’ BREATHLESS #POWEROF1 WAS A MIND-BLOWING EXPERIENCE.

The producers of Buckwyld 'n' Breathless once again delivered on their promise, as concert goers who thronged Eko Hotel on October 20 for the much-hyped #Powerof1 concert got a satisfying fix of entertainment and fun, with an ample dose of pro-Naija inspiration, to boot. Lead headliner 2Baba, at his most imperious in recent times, left the audience in raptures as he delivered a 3-part set that reaffirmed his status as Africa's leading artiste of this generation. Sandwiched between an enthralling "Power of 1" narrative brought to life by sizzling performance interpretation by Efe Money, DNMT, Andre Blaze, Timi Dakolo, African China, Sound Sultan, LeJit (Alexx Ekubo), Phyno, Falz and Bright Chimezie, 2Baba gave the audience a show to remember and a reason to believe and hop on the #PowerOf1 social movement train.  2Baba's opening with the performance of "4 Instance Again" a single from the "Power

FIVE THINGS THAT WILL HAPPEN IF DAVIDO AND CHIOMA REALLY DO BREAK UP

Image
A few days ago, there were reports in the media that Davido and Chioma had ended things between them. The reports turned out to be false, with the OBO even threatening to sue the tabloid, before posting several videos of he and his "bae" chilling and having a swell time.  The report may have been false, but it had me wondering what repercussions the breakup of the music industry ’s most loved couple of 2018 would bring. I truly hope that it never happens, but if it eventually does, here are five things that I expect to happen afterwards. 1)  THE WORLD WILL STOP - Well not literally, but the world of many of Davido and Chioma ’s fans would come to a halt, because they’ve grown to be so emotionally invested into the couple. We’ve all hoped Chioma to be Davido’s final bus stop, and an end to their relationship would crush many fans, me included, who live for their adorable moments. 2)  DAVIDO WOULD LOSE A FEW FANS - If Davido does break

BURNA BOY HAS BEEN ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT IN 2018

Burna Boy ’s 2018 has been super outstanding and so I just have to celebrate him.  After ending 2017 on a somewhat sore note, he kicked off 2018 proper with the video for the absolutely awesome Heaven’s Gate featuring Lily Allen. He threw a private listening party in Lagos for his third studio album, OUTSIDE, released through Atlantic records, and days later, hosted an album release party at the curtain hill, London, with an array of stars in attendance including Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Mr Eazi, JHus and Mabel. The album, by the way, debuted on Billboard’s reggae albums chart at the number 3 spot. In the following months Burna Boy released videos for 2 singles off the OUTSIDE album, Devil in California and Ye, embarking on a Life On The Music United States tour and signing a publishing deal with Universal Music publishing deal between the two release dates. In 2018, he’s featured on music released by other top artistes, working on Sunshine Ripti

TOP FOUR BILLIONAIRE FATHERS OF NIGERIAN ARTISTES

Image
The major perception is that our celebrity artistes are very rich. They drive flashy cars, live in high-priced homes, wear expensive jewelry  and top designers and live the life. For many of these artistes, they may accrue millions from their entertainment inclined careers, but almost like a Yoruba adage goes, it may never be as much as the net worth of their affluent fathers, because their fathers wealth runs into the billionaire status. Here I have the top 4 billionaire fathers of active Nigerian artistes Number 1 on our list is the father to female Disc Jockey, and now also singer, DJ Cuppy and her singer-sister Tolani. Yup, the billion naira man himself, Femi Otedola. Papa Cups is the controlling shareholder of Forte Oil, and with a net worth of $1.8b in 2016, he featured in the 2016 ranking of Forbes billionaires. He may still be in the process of recovery after his net value dropped within the period of just a few days in November 2018 from 1.8bn to 550
